While the idea of there being entities that are part angel and part demon stretch the limits of the imagination, the world created by Ms. Mason is indeed credible. She paints the characters with wide but deliberate strokes that capture the reader’s attention. The different worlds are varied and are beautifully delineated. I was intrigued by the relationship between Auria and Etienne. Their beginning was auspicious, and the end of the book leaves the reader panting for more. The emotions displayed by these two main characters are unique in that they run the gamut from one end of the spectrum to the other and back again. However, the reason for the back and forth motion is not one that I have ever run across before. Fascinating! There are so many paths that their story can take that I am left more than eager to see where the twists and turns that are bound to appear will take me. I absolutely loved every single page of this book.
